This page explains, in plain terms, what a browser stores when someone opens drivekrabi.com and why. There are not many moving parts: a handful of small files plus a slice of browser storage that keeps the car search widget snappy between pages.
What we mean by a cookie
A cookie is a tiny piece of text a site leaves in a visitor's browser so it can be recognised on the next request. We also lean on local storage, a related browser feature that holds a bit more information but, unlike a cookie, is never automatically sent back to any server. On this site local storage is used mainly to remember the pickup and drop off details a visitor just searched, so returning to the results a moment later does not trigger the same lookup twice.

Cookies set by our booking partner
Once a visitor opens a car and moves toward booking, our rental technology partner drops its own cookies so the reservation gets tied back to the right listing and a half completed booking can be picked up again later. Those cookies sit under the partner's own policy rather than this one. We do not run any advertising pixel or retargeting tag of our own on this site, and there is no social media tracker embedded on any page.
Changing what you allow
Every modern browser gives a visitor a setting to block or wipe cookies for one particular site, usually tucked under a privacy or site data menu. Turning off the essential category will stop the search and booking handover from functioning; turning off measurement changes nothing visible at all. Clearing site data for drivekrabi.com also clears the cached search, so the very next lookup simply runs fresh instead of pulling a saved one.
Browsing privately or on a phone
Opening the site in a private or incognito window blocks nothing on its own; it simply wipes the browser's cookies and storage the moment the window is closed, so a search a visitor left half finished will not be there next time.
